Pita Chips by Guest Blogger, Christine

Thanks for contributing this tip, Christine! Since we are trying to be healthier and eating whole grains, I found this good way to make "chips" for dips. Take whole wheat pita bread. Slice into eighths and peel into two pieces each slice. Spray cookie sheet with olive oil PAM and lay pita slices inside up. Sprinkle with seasoned salt, garlic salt and onion powder (you can vary the seasonings to your taste or dip needs). Spray with PAM again. Bake in 450 degree oven for 7 to 9 minutes until slightly brown and crispy. Let cool and serve. I have made these a few times lately (for Laddie and Superbowl) and again last night when I went to a girls' game night. They really liked them! Good with hummus. I've served them with a jalapeno sour cream dip, too. Christine
