The owner of Sahara Mediterranean Restaurant in Ithaca
I promised the owner of Sahara I'd spread the word that there is a new restaurant in Ithaca well worth a try. It's just off Ithaca Commons, next to the tapas and wine bar, on Aurora street.
The food is Greek and Middle Eastern --a menu of authentic, traditional Mediterranean fare including choices such as lentil soup, stuffed spinach leaves, homemade hummus, healthy salads dressed with feta cheese, shish kabobs of marinated meats, lamb chops, and warm pita bread, just to give you a sampling.
An art buddy of mine invited me to join her there to try it out. We had great service and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. She had the falafel lunch and I had the sampler. We both had the lentil soup. Yum!
