Lobster Roll on Cape Cod

Some dishes can’t be recreated at home and this is one of them. A traditional New England lobster roll consists of a toasted squared-off hot dog bun loaded with fresh lobster meat, lightly coated in mayonnaise. They are often served with coleslaw and french fries.

This lobster shack was in Sesuit on Cape Cod, at the Sesuit Harbor Cafe, near their marina. We went after a day of thunderstorms so there weren’t any long lines. Picnic tables and fighting off the seagulls are part of the experience.

Expensive, but worth every bite.
